New Sharpe Matrix Licensing Agency Launching at License Expo ‘24 

The Sharpe Company Inc. and Matrix Brand Dynamics LLC announce the collaboration of their two licensing agencies to form an all-new full-service brand licensing business, Sharpe Matrix Licensing. The new agency combines more than fifty years of global licensing expertise and success across licensed brand development, brand sales, retail promotions, license acquisitions, brand protection, intellectual property legal counsel, expert witness services, public speaking, and strategic brand development. 

“We know brand-building from both sides of the equation,” says Stephen Stanley, who has represented multiple licensees from Hasbro to Disguise to Jazwares in their deals with all the major “players” in the business. “And now, by working together we are delivering the best full market perspective and strategy for our Brand and our Corporate clientele” adds Charles Day, whose Sharpe Company is a well-established and award-winning brand sales boutique representing famous entertainment, publishing, pop art, toy and corporate brands & IP with a long list of successful merch programs launched across mass and trend specialty retail marketplaces in North America, Europe and Asia. Stephen Stanley’s Matrix Brand Dynamics launched last year acquiring licenses for manufacturers, developing and selling new brands, and lawyering intellectual property deals for mid-sized toy and licensing companies. Having first met decades ago working in London when Day was on the board of Copyright Promotions (CPLG) and Stanley headed Hasbro International licensing, the two executives have since developed and brought major award-winning brand programs to market until deciding this year to combine their respective skills and brand management expertise to form a new collaboration that offers clients a full array of expert services for both brand owners and manufacturers. Consistent with their careers in intellectual property and Pop Culture licensing, Day and Stanley together say : “Now is the time to Rock and Roll.”
