41 Entertainment Announces New Content Partners for Supernatural Academy

41 ENTERTAINMENT LLC (41E) has announced today that it has secured international partners for its Supernatural Academy® animated series (16 x 22’’) slated to launch globally this month.ABC Australia, The Walt Disney Company (Japan), Television New Zealand, MBC Middle East, HOT Israel and Bell Media’s Crave in Canada join Peacock in the U.S. for the series’ global rollout.

Maria-Nicole Miriklis, Acquisitions Manager, Children’s for ABC in Australia states, “ABC is excited to include Supernatural Academy® in our offering from June 20. We think our audiences will enjoy this girl-led adventure series.”

Yuki Ito, Programming & Acquisition Director for Disney Channel in Japan adds, “I realized that Supernatural Academy® would be a perfect fit for Disney Channel in Japan as I started screening episodes.  The storyline builds and entertains, and we are excited to add this property to our schedule later this year.”

Jane Webber, Acquisitions Manager at Television New Zealand adds, “We are excited to add Supernatural Academy® to our platforms in New Zealand.  We think it is a perfect addition for our younger viewers.”

The series is the book adaptation of best-selling series “The Supernatural Academy” from Jaymin Eve, chronicling an otherworldly adventure of sisters marked at birth. One twin sister was raised in the Supernatural world, confident and popular. The other was raised in the human world, an offbeat outsider. Now they’re about to be reunited at the Supernatural Academy, and neither one of them is thrilled about it. These adversarial twins will have to learn to get over their differences and trust each other in order to save themselves – and save the world!

The television series was created by Allen Bohbot and Jaymin Eve with Gillian Horwath as Head Writer, original songs by John Majkut and animation services provided by ICON Creative Studio in Vancouver.  Larissa Diaz (Supernatural, Falling Skies, Hallmark’s When Calls the Heart) stars as “Jessa Lebron” while Gigi Saul Guerrero (Marvel Superhero Adventures, Into the Dark, Super Monsters, Nina’s World) stars as “Mischa Jackson/Lebron.”

Nicola Andrews, Head of Sales for 41E based in London states, “The response from the market to Supernatural Academy® is very positive and we are in numerous discussions to bring in more partners worldwide.  The property is targeted at that older kid and young tween audience and not many shows have successfully found a way to reach that demo, in live action or animation.  We think this compelling storyline and brilliant animation achieves that goal.”
