The Yolkels Sign USA Contract

UK based Lee Garrett, announces children’s animated cartoon characters, The
Yolkels, have signed a contract in the USA with New York-based entertainment
company 3Beep.

The Yolkels, originally created by Worcestershire product designer David
Garrett, has been in development for the last twelve months under the direction
of Lee Garrett, David’s son.

Lee has a studio near Birmingham (Create a Scene) where the design, look and
feel of the show has been produced. He has also written the scripts, storylines,
series bible and directed the production.

Entrepreneur, James Driscoll, creator of the World award winning children’s
animated cartoon series The Shoe People, is a consultant to the series and has
worked closely with Lee for the last year.

Lee attended MIPCOM Children’s annual TV Festival, in Cannes last October 2019
and presented The Yolkels to Production companies and Broadcasters from
across the World.

Since that visit, interest in The Yolkels from the USA has resulted in Lee and his family company Corny Capers Ltd signing a
contract in March this year, with New York based children’s Entertainment
company 3Beep.

Tim Werenko, co-owner of 3Beep, co-produced the English version of Pokémon
for ten years before leaving to start 3Beep, where they now work with partners
from around the world writing, recording and creating content.

The first Yolkels episode to be produced early next year was recorded in New
York, Los Angeles and Stourbridge, during lockdown as a pilot 11 minute radio
play.

Lee and his partner Natalie provide the English character voices of the baddies JJ
Bullion and his wife Oriel, but are on the lookout to bring more voice talent into
the series.

Tim Werenko, of 3Beep said today, “We are delighted to have signed this show
and to be working with Lee and his company. When the scripts are fast and
funny, it makes the recording of voice talent a joy.”
Lee told Total Licensing that there has been further interest shown from a
well known Animation Production company in Los Angeles.
