Kids Set To Enjoy a Unique Tom Gates Doodletastic Adventure at The Eden Project

Children are set to have some unique doodletastic adventures with a special programme of epic artistic activities at the Eden Project in Cornwall  this February half-term.

Taking place from February 11 to 19, the event  sees the eco visitor attraction partnering with the team behind The Brilliant World of Tom Gates, the hugely popular Sky Kids TV and book series by author and illustrator Liz Pichon, to host a series of activities  bursting with creativity, colour, fun and imagination.

During the event, brokered by licensing agency The Point.1888, children will be inspired to get creative Tom Gates-style by making their mark on some wacky food sculptures in the Mediterranean Biome and follow a brilliant bug trail through the Rainforest Biome leaving no leaf unturned.

Entertaining and informative workshops will also take place with tips and tricks on how to doodle and draw and fun things to make and do. For a quieter moment families can settle down with a Tom Gates classic or watch an episode of the award-winning Sky TV series in a cosy reading nook in preparation for World Book Day on March 2. There will also be opportunities to purchase Tom Gates products in the shop.

Liz Keynes, Commercial Director of TG Entertainment, said: “We are thrilled that Tom Gates is working with the fantastic team at the Eden Project. There is great synergy between our two brands and we look forward to an exciting programme of events which will delight existing Tom Gates fans and families and bring his BRILLIANT world to a whole range of new ones too.”

Kate Francis, Eden’s Living Theatre Producer, said: “For over a decade Tom Gates and his brilliant world have been entertaining and encouraging children all over the globe to embrace their creativity.

We’re very excited to be working with the team behind Tom Gates to create a half-term programme that we are confident will both delight and engage families whilst they are here and then take that joy of being creative home with them.”

Liz Pichon’s award-winning Tom Gates book series has sold more than 14 million copies around the world and has been translated into 47 languages, picking up numerous awards along the way. The success of the books has led to Tom being brought to life for two doodletastic TV series – The Brilliant World of Tom Gates – which airs on Sky Kids and NOW, and has already picked up a BAFTA Scotland and British Animation Award.
