Betty Boop dons Dr. Martens for New Collaboration

Fleischer Studios, Inc. and leading brand-licensing agency Global Icons, LLC, have announced that iconic footwear brand Dr. Martens will release a capsule collection on June 23rd honoring the mischievous and rebellious spirit of Betty Boop. The Dr. Martens X Betty Boop collaboration will include a Jadon boot, Clarissa II Quad sandal, 1461 Quad shoe, and a leather satchel featuring the animated screen star with all the designs available for purchase at and at select retailers.

An inspirational new animated video starring Betty Boop will be released for fans on launch day and will be seen across social media channels for both brands and on The video, featuring Betty showing off the new designs, celebrates the collaboration and was created to inspire viewers with messages of empowerment, independence, and individuality.

Drawing on the independent, empowered, defiant spirit that defines Betty Boop and underpins the Dr. Martens ethos, the company has reworked four of its recognizable silhouettes with an unmistakable Betty Boop stamp. The collection includes a classic 8-eye Jadon boot showcasing angel and devil Betty poses, the 3-eye 1461 Quad shoe in a classic Smooth leather with bold heart-shaped printed metal toe caps, and a vegan-friendly edition of the popular Clarissa II Quad sandal in optical white. The final piece in the collection is an amped-up version of the brand’s 7” mini leather satchel using black Kiev leather and enhanced with two tonal gloss Betty Boop prints with red lip and heart motifs.
