BBC Studios announces a raft of UK licensees for Bluey
BBC Studios has announced several licenses for Bluey.
Produced by Ludo Studio, the series, which features relatable and often funny stories about family life, is already a smash hit with families in its home market Australia and in the U.S. It’s currently the number one children’s programme on metro broadcast television in Australia for 2020*, and series 1 has amassed over 261 million views and series 2, which premiered in March 2020, has already surpassed 43 million views on ABC iview**. Stateside, Bluey reached 16 million total views across Disney Channel and Disney Junior in Q4 2019. In Q1 2020, Bluey became a top 6 Disney Junior series with kids and girls 2-5, and a top 5 series with boys 2-5***. The show is also now available for UK viewers to watch on Disney+ from today (1st October) and there is more Bluey in the works, with Series 3 set to commence production later this year.

Global master toy licensee Moose Toys will debut Bluey plush and plastic toys at UK retail in autumn 2021. Since launch in its home market Australia, Bluey toys by Moose have been selling at a record rate, and likewise when they arrived in the U.S., where the range launched to 5* reviews.
