Top brands, retailers and partners gathered for the Brands & Retail UK Summer 22 Conference

The second event of 2022 has firmly established the Brands & Retails UK Conference as a must on the licensing calendar

Held at the Henry Wellcome Collection Museum near Euston station, the two-day conference saw a diverse list of some of the top UK brands presenting to major retailers and brand partners.

Organised by Ryan Beaird, Event Director, who confirmed that 96% of the audience who attended the conference in February had returned, and sponsored by Fabacus, over the course of two days the ‘buzz’ at this important industry event was tangible.

After the presentations, the first day ended with a sponsor message from Fabacus and a retail buyers’ panel.

Thought provoking questions were asked of some of execs from top names in retail including Asda, Character.com, Boots and ebay.

Day one was focused on Brand, Heritage, FMCG, Lifestyle, Arts & Sports, with dedicated presentations from the likes of V&A, Paramount, Lisle Licensing and The London Taxi company – as well as Battersea Dogs and Cats Home who brought with them the star of the show, Dash, a rescue and dog and wonderful brand ambassador.

Day two concentrated on Character & Entertainment and Gaming. The audience, again packing out the auditorium, were presented to some top names in the business, including Mattel, Acamar, MGAE, Warhammer, Penguin Ventures and Silvergate Media.

Following from these busy and successful two days, there was a ‘Meet the Buyers’ networking party at the British Library, in the format of speed-meetings. The buyers were of course much in demand so event organiser Ryan had to keep meetings down to ten minutes – with the aid of ringing a bell!

He commented on the event: “It feels as if Brands Retail UK has now cemented itself in the UK Consumer Product Brand and Retail industry – the commitment in making this event work by the biggest Brands, Partners & Retailers through their support and participation is proving the format benefits everyone…

 “This bigger Two Day Summer conference saw some of the UK’s finest brands presenting their Key messages to UK Brand Partners and Major Global Retailers…. I have never seen an audience so attentive for two days.”
