HarperCollins Launches YA Imprint

HarperCollins Launches YA Imprint

HarperCollins Children’s Books announces the launch of Harper Fire, a new dynamic and stand-out YA imprint.

HarperCollins Children’s Books is already home to market-leading names in the YA genre, such as Alice Oseman, John Green, David Levithan and Veronica Roth. Harper Fire celebrates and builds on a successful track record of publishing bestsellers and critically acclaimed novels for teens, young adults, and crossover readers. Recent major acquisitions such as A Language of Dragons by S. F. Williamson, Brielle & Bear by Salomey Doku and The Goldens by Lauren Wilson will all publish under the new imprint.

Harper Fire’s mission is to publish stand-out, quality books that represent all YA readers, authors, and stories. Books that make you think, feel, laugh, cry; books to make a mark. Led by Publishing Director Natalie Doherty, all HarperCollins Children’s Books fiction editors will commission into the list, including Editorial Director Tom Bonnick and Commissioning Editor Megan Reid.

Harper Fire will launch on 29 February 2024 with the highly original and hotly anticipated YA romantasy Compass and Blade by Rachel Greenlaw, which will be published in eight different formats including a Waterstones hardback exclusive edition plus an additional exclusive edition soon to be announced.

Alongside a high-impact marketing and PR campaign that will run throughout 2024, Harper Fire will launch with distinct and dedicated social media channels @harperfirebooks and ensure a significant presence at YALC 2024.
