Season 53 of Sesame Street Ready to Go

Season 53 of Sesame Street premieres on Cartoonito on HBO Max, it has been announced. The season features 35 episodes, with new episodes of the iconic children’s series dropping every Thursday. 

Season 53 is devoted to helping children grow up with a healthy self-identity and sense of belonging, in full celebration of our diverse world! To kick off the new season, families can tune-in to the season premiere where friends on Sesame Street paint a mural to celebrate the people in their neighborhood. When Abby has a hard time finding a paint color that is the same color as her fur, she learns to mix paint to make a color that looks just like her. Celebrity guest Mickey Guyton sings a song about community, and Amber Ruffin makes a surprise appearance as Ms. Noodle. 

Throughout the rest of the season Elmo, Cookie Monster, Big Bird and the rest of the Sesame Street gang will be visited by some very special new friends including Zazie Beetz, First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, Samuel L. Jackson, Brett Goldstein, Ava Duvernay, and HAIM who stop by the world’s most iconic street for games, music, learning, and lots of fun!
