Fauna appoints Exim for its kawaii brand Paper Poo
One of Turkey’s leading entertainment companies has tapped Mexican licensing agent Exim as the exclusive agent in Mexico, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador and Chile for its brand new kawaii character Paper Poo.
The digital brand targeting millennials and young adults is following the daily ramblings of a toilet paper and his best friend Pompous. Reacting quickly to social media trend topics by posting fun and relatable content Paper Poo is a growing digital character. The brand has been launched on social media platforms and amassing millions of views. With the pick of popularity of toilet paper during quarantine, Paper Poo has been trending tremendously; its fun GIFs reached 322 millions views in a few weeks.
As part of the deal Exim is now responsible of developing a digital plan to localize, launch and grow the brand in these countries and finding brand partners to develop the CP program.
Paper Poo previously partnered with the Dutch sustainable and ecological toilet paper manufacturer The Good Roll for a capsule collection. The environment friendly initiative uses 50% of net profit to support the building and improvement of sanitary facilities in Africa.
Fauna uses a non-usual expansion strategy based on viral marketing and partnering with unexpected brands. Lastly, the brand partnered with The Avocado Bar restaurants to decorate its walls with comics of Paper Poo.
Fauna is currently developing Paper Poo’s mobile games on IOS and Android due for September2020.
