The Estate of F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald Signs IMG

The Estate of F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald, two of the Jazz Age’s most iconic cultural figures, has signed an exclusive, multiyear global licensing agreement with IMG Licensing.

Under the agreement, the agency will work closely with the Estate to develop a strategic program of licensed products and experiences worldwide, beginning with a focus on the luxury sector, including apparel, accessories, beauty, home goods, travel, and food and beverage. Reflecting the daring style, glamour, and romanticism that defined the ‘Gatsby’ author and his wife, the partnership aims to translate their timeless legacy into tangible goods and experiences for contemporary audiences.

Hailed as defining voices of the Roaring Twenties, Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald are widely credited with both shaping and chronicling the opulent and restless spirit of their generation. In his 160 short stories and five novels, including the enduring classic ‘The Great Gatsby’, Scott captured the essence of the ‘Jazz Age,’ a term he coined, exploring themes of wealth, social class, and disillusionment. Meanwhile, Zelda helped define the image of the American Flapper and was a creative inspiration through her vivid personality, deeply original writing, and art, which included more than 100 gouache and watercolor paintings in her unique whimsical style.

With a new generation of the Fitzgerald family at the helm of the Estate, this partnership marks a new chapter in preserving and amplifying the literary and cultural legacy of one of America’s most iconic couples.

Blake Hazard, president of the Estate’s licensing entity, said, “The Fitzgerald Estate is thrilled to partner with IMG Licensing to preserve and promote our great-grandparents’ legacy. We’re excited for this new chapter in Fitzgerald history, and to work with the IMG team to find fresh opportunities to share Scott and Zelda’s iconic style.”

“The Fitzgerald name evokes more than literary brilliance. It stands for an entire era of glamour, wit, and cultural transformation, that continues to inspire trends around the world”, said Natalie Bryt, Director of Licensing at IMG Licensing. “We’re honored to partner with the Estate to build a licensing program that reflects their cultural impact while creating authentic, new avenues for fans to experience their world.”

IMG Licensing will leverage its extensive experience and expertise in managing licensing programs for cultural institutions and icons such as MoMA, Norman Rockwell, Jackie Robinson, and more.
