Ron Faris Named Senior Vice President of Global Marketing for Disney Consumer Products

Ron Faris, an accomplished leader in digital experiences and brand marketing within the consumer landscape, has been named Senior Vice President of Global Marketing for Disney Consumer Products.  

In this new role, Faris will oversee Disney Consumer Products’ Global Marketing strategies across its regional and global licensing teams, as well as the organization’s games, publishing and retail businesses. As part of this portfolio, he will oversee the development and execution of immersive brand concepts and consumer experiences that deeply connect with fans and shape culture. He will report to Tasia Filippatos, President of Disney Consumer Products.

Prior to joining Disney, Faris spent nine years at Nike where he managed some of the brand’s boldest initiatives. Most recently, he served as Global Vice President and General Manager of Nike Virtual Studios and the “.SWOOSH” brand where he was tasked with modernizing Nike’s brand marketing and storytelling for Gen Z and Gen Alpha consumers through video game, creator and social platforms. Prior to this role, Faris spent six years as the Global Vice President and General Manager of the SNKRS App, Nike’s limited-edition product offering, where he oversaw the growth and scale of the SNKRS product, storytelling and commerce platform to over 55 countries, 300 employees and over $1.5 billion dollars in revenue. Faris has also been a contributor to Harvard Business Review, and is focused on the intersection of brand storytelling, community engagement, culture and technology. Additionally, he has managed several award-winning music and lifestyle experiences during his career at Nike and Virgin Group.
