Anderson Entertainment Announces New Book Deal

Anderson Entertainment, the studio founded by Thunderbirds and Space: 1999 creator Gerry Anderson are working with Saltway to expand distribution of their books into the English language international book trade.  Up to now, most of Anderson Entertainments’ books have been sold direct to consumers through the Gerry Anderson store and Amazon.

From the 1st August, Script Publisher Services can supply the Anderson Entertainment list direct to UK and international customers from their own distribution hub in Yorkshire.

Anderson Entertainment has a multi-category license from ITV Studios to create and distribute a wide range of books and other consumer products based on the iconic TV series including Thunderbirds, Stingray, Captain Scarlet, Space: 1999 and UFO.

Anderson Entertainment first published the Moonbase Alpha Technical Operations Manual in 2021 which has now gone to sell close to 10,000 copies and the format has expanded to include in-universe guides to Stingray, Joe 90, Fireball XL5 and UFO.   2025 sees the launch of the International Rescue Technical Operations Manual in time for Thunderbirds 60th anniversary.

In addition to the manuals, Anderson publishes a range of comic anthologies, fiction and audio books.   The company also supplies collectibles, models and other merchandise.

Jamie Anderson, MD of Anderson Entertainment says ‘we really feel that this new arrangement with Saltway will help reach fans in North America, Australia and Asia with our books and having books on hand at Script will help the UK book trade offer their customers our titles too.’

Chris McLaren, MD of Saltway adds ‘For those of us of a certain vintage, Thunderbirds, Fireball XL5, Stingray, Space: 1999 and the other amazing Gerry Anderson creations were essential to the DNA of our childhoods with ‘never to miss’ weekly television viewing and we are delighted to be part of this adventure in bringing Anderson books to a wider international audience.’
