Legendary Italian popsicle Polaretti goes on a hit summer tour

Italy’s legendary Polaretti, the ready-to-freeze popsicles with fruit juice that have had entire generations singing along to the jingle “Po-po-po-po Polaretti”, have hit the road this summer with a popular multi-city tour alongside confectionery giant Dolfin (which invented the snack), face-to-face engagement with the public and a holiday-themed collaboration with Alpitour World, Italy’s leading travel group.
These events form part of a set of activities developed by leading agency Maurizio Distefano Licensing which manages the Polaretti brand in Italy, with the aim of increasing its brand visibility. And, so far, they have been very successful!
The activities began with The Polaretti Road Tour 2025, a collaboration between Dolfin, a major confectionery company from Sicily, and FattoreMamma, an agency that focuses on the mom and family market.
The tour visited four Italian cities – Milan and Rimini in late June and Bibione and Ostia in early July – with free events for children and families.
At every stop, the public was welcomed by the iconic refrigerated Polaretti Ape car (a vehicle distributing free samples), the cheerful Penguin mascot Mr Polaretto, games and workshops for kids, and a social media crew ready to capture and share live content online. The tour also featured special guests from the TV and online world.
But that’s not all. For the summer season, leading travel group Alpitour and Bravo, which offers all-inclusive family-friendly resorts, are together hosting a special project dedicated to children and families, featuring Polaretti-branded activities via kids’ clubs and entertainment programmes.
Twice a week in July and August, the main Alpitour and Bravo resorts are highlighting Polaretti Snack Time events, during which kids receive Polaretti ice pops and get temporary tattoos inspired by the brand. The spaces used are decorated with colourful, themed materials provided by Polaretti, while entertainers will get everyone moving to the rhythm of the official Polaretti Dance.
At Bravo Budoni and Alpiclub Alma Resort, Mr Polaretto is joining Bravo and Alpitour mascots for snack time alongside a videographer creating content for social media – boosting visibility and storytelling around the project.
Dolfin’s Polaretti popsicles are made in Sicily with spring water from Mount Etna and a top choice among snacks for Italian kids aged 5 to 12. They sell in such volume that if lined up they could circle the earth three times!
Created in the 1990s, Polaretti has become a true multi-generational brand, thanks in part to its catchy and unforgettable jingle – and this summer’s activities, with Maurizio Distefano Licensing’s help, are extending its appeal even further
As Maurizio Distefano, President of Maurizio Distefano Licensing, says: “With a goal of reaching over 1.5 million people, the tour and holiday resort collaborations aim to share the brand’s essence in a fun and genuine way. We believe these events have not only strengthened Polaretti’s bond with families but have also promoted a snack that’s healthy, playful, and 100% Italian.”
