CUPP partners with Moomin Characters to launch immersive bubble tea store
This summer, established bubble tea brand, CUPP, has announced it is partnering with Moomin Characters to launch the UK’s first Moomin-themed bubble tea extravaganza, perfect for boba and Moomin lovers alike.
Renowned for their innovative drinks and cult social media following, CUPP is quickly becoming one of the UK’s most recognisable bubble tea brands. Now licensed by the iconic Finnish powerhouse, Moomin Characters, this is the start of an exciting new adventure for CUPP and Moomin Characters.
CUPP have developed a bespoke Moomin-themed menu, filled with boba drinks and pancakes all containing flavours inspired by Moominvalley. The design of the store will also take inspiration from Moominvalley, the world in which the Moomin characters live which was first introduced to readers 80 years ago in The Moomins and the Great Flood by Tove Jansson.
Roleff Kråkström, CEO of Moomin Characters Ltd, said: “The CUPP x Moomin store will be an immersive Moominous place for fans to eat and drink together, a scene very familiar in Moominvalley. This type of Moomin café experience is something that we have never done outside of Finland and Europe, and we are very excited for the launch in the UK.”

Opening to the public on Friday 30th May, the first 100 customers will receive a complimentary CUPP x Moomin tote bag, filled with Moomin and CUPP merchandise. Get down to the store early to enjoy the limited gift and get a first look at the Moominous menu.
