New Bluey Digital Series with Dianne Buswell Launches

BBC Studios has announced the launch of a brand-new Bluey digital series called Bluey Dancealongs, featuring the iconic Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer, Dianne Buswell.
Filmed at Bluey’s World in Brisbane, the digital-exclusive series lands at 12pm BST on the Official Bluey YouTube, Bluey.tv and Bluey social channels. Bluey Dancealongs will see Australian professional dancer Dianne Buswell – who won Strictly for the first time in 2024 alongside comedian Chris McCausland and recently received the Memorable Moment Award at this year’s BAFTA TV Awards – step into Bluey’s World, to choreograph and star in a series of five dance videos. Each video will feature a beloved Bluey song and take place in a different location within Bluey’s World, inviting fans into the immersive For Real Life experience.
Dianne will be joined by young fans of the show, creating joyful, energetic routines to inspire and engage everyone. See much-loved Bluey songs turned into easy-to-follow choreographed dance routines for Bluey fans to recreate at home. One episode will go live each week from today.
“How cool that I got to go to Bluey’s World in Australia to dance in Bluey’s house with some incredibly talented kids dancing to some of Bluey’s favourite tunes. I love the message that Bluey sends out, to not just kids but grownups too. I can’t wait to see everybody trying the dance moves at home and joining in the party” — Dianne Buswell
“We are thrilled to launch Bluey Dancealongs and bring brand-new entertaining content for fans to engage with on our digital channels,” said Jasmine Dawson, SVP Digital, BBC Studios. “Partnering with the incredible Dianne Buswell to create these joyful, accessible dance routines perfectly captures the spirit of Bluey — fun and family – and we’re looking forward to seeing fans everywhere get moving and join in the fun, no matter where they are.“
Each video is between 1 and 3 minutes long and features exciting dances based on some favourite tunes from the Bluey albums created by the Bluey music team – ‘A Message from the Fairies’ (Bluey: The Album), ‘Bluey Theme Tune (Dance Remix)’ (Dance Mode!), ‘Lollipop Yum Yum Yum’ (Dance Mode), ‘Muffin Drive’ (Bluey: Rug Island) and the recently released ‘Burger Dog’ (Burger Dog), from the Bluey Minisode.
Bluey Dancealongs is Dianne’s second collaboration with the TV sensation following the world-exclusive moment when Bluey was transported directly into the Strictly Ballroom alongside the Professional Dancers for BBC Children in Need in November 2024.
The new digital series follows hot on the heels of the return of the popular Bluey Book Reads series. The second instalment features a star-studded cast from the beloved Muppets of Sesame Street Elmo and Cookie Monster to acting royalty Helena Bonham Carter, Elijah Wood, Michael Sheen and more. New episodes of Bluey Book Reads go live every fortnight until 5th August on Official Bluey YouTube, which has over 7.5 billion lifetime views. Bluey Book Reads are also available on the official Bluey website Bluey.tv.
Bluey Dancealongs is the latest digital commission for the Bluey brand from the Digital Brands division of BBC Studios. Twice named Lovie Awards’ European Publisher of the Year, and the holder of two coveted YouTube Diamond Creator Awards for their Bluey and BBC Earth channels, BBC Studios Digital Brands create premium content for their online audiences across the globe including Bluey Book Reads, Frame in Nature (BBC Earth) and more, bringing fans together and generating some 14 billion views yearly.
