Mediawan Heads to Cannes Film Festival with Strong Slate

Following an exceptional 2024 in cinema with The Count of Monte Cristo, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, and Beating Hearts, Mediawan, a leading force in European film, has announced its commitment to ambitious projects and creative talents and reveals five upcoming films at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival.  Special screenings:• Bono: Stories of Surrender directed by Andrew Dominik produced by Plan B Entertainment and RadicalMedia. Screening on May 16th at 10:00 p.m in the presence of the documentary team, followed by its release on Apple TV+ on May 30th.• A Magnificent Life an animated biopic directed by Sylvain Chomet and produced by What The Prod, Mediawan, Picture Box, and Bidibul Productions. Screening on May 17th at 6:45 p.m. in the presence of the film team and artist SCH who performs the title song. In theaters from October 15th.
Cannes Classics:• I Love Peru directed by Raphaël Quenard and Hugo David, produced by Lipsum Productions and Chi-Fou-Mi Productions, in co-production with Wašté Films. Screening on May 17th at 5:00 p.m. in the presence of the directors.
Directors’ Fortnight:• Yes directed by Nadav Lapid, produced by Chi-Fou-Mi Productions. Screening on May 22th at 11:45 a.m., followed by a discussion with the director.
Out of Competition:• 13 Days 13 Nights directed by Martin Bourboulon, produced by Chapter 2, in co-production with Pathé Films. Screening on May 23th at 9:45 p.m. in the presence of the film’s team. At the Marché du Film, Mediawan Group productions will be showcased by their distributors:• Violette directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet, produced by Palomar and 24 25 Films, distributed by Studiocanal. 
• Out of Love directed by Nathan Ambrosioni, produced by Chi-Fou-Mi Productions, distributed by Studiocanal. 
• Dog 51 directed by Cédric Jimenez, produced by Chi-Fou-Mi Productions, distributed by Studiocanal. 
 The Desert Child directed by Gilles de Maistre, produced by Mai-Juin Productions, distributed by Studiocanal. 
• Twisted directed by Lino DiSalvo, produced by Mediawan Kids & Family, distributed by Sola Media. Two Live Audience Shows from Cannes by Mediawan: • Up To You (C à Vous), the flagship show produced by Troisième Œil Productions, will once again be broadcast live and in front of an audience from La Croisette every evening for the second half of the program. At the foot of the Palais des Festivals, Anne-Élisabeth Lemoine, from 8:00 p.m., surrounded by her team of commentators Pierre Lescure, Bertrand Chameroy, Patrick Cohen and Mohamed Bouhafsi will welcome major figures from the world of cinema : Eva Longoria, Jodie Foster, Isabelle Huppert, Tahar Rahim, Emma Mackey, Roschdy Zem, Lyna Khoudri, and many more…. On Saturday, May 17th, a special edition will bring together the entire team of the show around exceptional guests and events. 
• Beau Geste hosted by Pierre Lescure, will offer two special editions with Cut Killer, Laurent Laffite, Pio Marmaï, Sofiane Zermani, Joséphine Japy, Ramzy Bedia et Elodie Bouchez… On May 18th, the show settles in Cannes for an exceptional edition with a public audience. Then, on May 25th, the show will look back at the highlights of the festival, also marking the launch of its YouTube channel. Also available as a podcast, Beau Geste continues to be broadcast across all formats. Since May 1st, Season 2 has also been available for two months on all medium- and long-haul Air France flights.
