Its inspirational girl-empowerment storylines promoting friendship and self-discovery, coupled with strong, brave and relatable characters and an engaging blend of comedy and music, have endeared Winx Club to generations of young girls, and now look set to cast a spell on new – and returning – fans. Early social media trailers and clips have already attracted a fantastic response including more than 12 million views on the Winx Club TikTok profile.
“We can’t wait for UK audiences to unfurl their fairy wings and harness their hidden superpowers as they experience the wonder, courage, and connection that the new Winx generation brings to life from September 8th,” said Iginio Straffi, creator of Winx Club. “The new series is a tribute to the fans who grew up with Bloom and her friends, and an invitation for today’s children to discover the rich storytelling and engaging characters that define the Winx universe.”
Sarah Muller, Senior Head of Commissioning 7+ for BBC Children’s and Education said: “A whole new generation are set to fall in love with Winx Club: The Magic is Back when it premieres on CBBC and iPlayer on 8th September. This must-see global first adds to an unbeatable line-up of the biggest animation brands free to air for kids across the UK.”
