Surge Brands Named North American Licensing Agent for the 1-800-Flowers.com Brand

Surge Brands has been appointed the exclusive licensing agent in certain product categories in North America for 1-800-Flowers.com, the leading floral gifting brand in the U.S.

This new partnership will focus on developing high-impact licensing programs across a range of product categories that complement the brand’s core values and consumer base—including lawn & garden, and outdoor accessories, among others. As 1-800-Flowers.com continues to evolve into a premier lifestyle brand beyond floral gifting, this expansion will build on its strong household name and digital presence.

With more than 10 million loyal enterprise customers and over 100 million stems delivered in FY 2024, 1-800-Flowers.com, Inc. is a powerhouse in the gifting industry. The 1-800-Flowers.com brand holds leading positions in awareness, consideration, and value perception, and its extensive enterprise-wide content ecosystem reaches over 10 million consumers through blogs, newsletters, podcasts, and a social media following of over 6.1 million.

“Our goal is to translate 1-800-Flowers.com’s extraordinary emotional connection with consumers into product experiences that bring the brand’s spirit of giving, celebration, and connection into more parts of everyday life,” said Ari Freedman, Vice President of Licensing at Surge Brands. “We see tremendous opportunity to grow the brand through meaningful, high-quality partnerships that reflect the warmth, creativity, and innovation 1-800-Flowers.com is known for.”

“We’re excited to partner with Surge Brands to bring the 1-800-Flowers.com brand to life in new and inspiring ways,” said Abhay Patel, Brand President of 1-800-Flowers.com. “This partnership allows us to deepen our customer relationships with thoughtfully designed products that reflect our heritage of innovation and emotional expression.”

1-800-Flowers.com’s licensing strategy will leverage its marketplace platform and immersive engagement tools, along with seasonal marketing spikes and a highly engaged female-skewing audience, to support successful product launches across North America.
